Fat Removal (Liposuction)

Let's face it, we would all like the perfect body but sometimes there are parts of our body, such as stubborn fat deposits, which cause us real unhappiness.

Fat removal, or liposuction, is a simple procedure that works by surgically removing fat from problem areas such as the chin and neck, upper arms, abdomen, buttocks, thighs, knees, calves and ankles.

Liposuction is designed not as a cure for obesity but to remove excess fat that has not responded to diet and exercise.

Whats Involved

An assessment is carried out on your `body mass index' (BM!) by your nurse¬counsellor to assess your suitability.

The procedure is then carried out under a local anaesthetic and depending on the size of the area being treated, it can take one to two hours. Swelling typically takes one to two weeks to heal.
